Masimo AAT is the culmination of a 30-year exploration in signal processing and centers around the measurement of Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE). These are sonic reflections that originate inside your ear from the cochlea. The loudness of an OAE at a given frequency depends on the sensitivity of each ear at that frequency. By measuring OAEs, we can determine which frequencies your ears are more or less sensitive to. Once the hearing measurements are complete, they are processed to create your unique hearing profile.
